About The Project

The "Gulustan" palace was built by the "Baku State Project" institute in 1979-1980 at the initiative of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and it was designed to hold city-wide and republic-wide mass events. Many important historical events for our country were held in "Gulistan" palace. Over time, the palace needed to be rebuilt. In January 2019, by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the major renovation of the building was started and finished in June 2021.
